The University of Houston has an annual festival for its Digital Media program,
DIGIFEST. Many other students along with myself were prompted and pitched with creating and designing a whole design system for the festival.
Digifest focuses on every aspect of Digital Media. Meaning not just one emphasis but all of them combined. So I wanted to focus on this concept while routinely maintaining the style I wanted to focus on.
A large part of my design focuses on Typography. Shown by the large letters and strategically place text throughout the whole system.
However to create emphasis incorporating the University of Houston colors where the letters would meet draw attention to the detail of convergence.
The concept is very simple and straightforward, however when looked at from a more abstract view. The letters being merged together represent how Digifest focuses on the whole Digital Media
Major as a whole. Digital Media is a system and one part could not exist without the other. The
The importance of this is also shown in the second half of the letters in FEST overlapping one another.
